Just downloaded this for iPhone and Mac. In my humble opinion not great. Of all the diary apps (free and paid) this is the least of them. NOT intuitive at all. It doesn't have a full screen, and to all intents an purposes (at least for me) doesn't really offer anything that a lot of free apps do.
I'm still looking for a good diary. I had one in windows, Journal 5 and it was the easiest and best journal I've found so far, but is not available in Mac.

I don't think this supports handwriting with stylus? I'm trying to verify before I buy?

From what I hear there's a brisk market for the original iPad...but you're going to take quite a hit on it since Apple is already selling them at $100 off.

You iPhone 4 users are spoiled. And very good at making up words as well. :) A better display was big on my list, too. I figure I can sell or pass down the iPad 2 if they come out with an amazinger (new word!) display that's still affordable.

Thanks Charlie, the plan is to make the iPad app universal to the current iPhone app. As for web based entry, I'm looking at options in that regard including a way to email an entry.

Please consider making the iOS app universal -- the iPad is a great way to make short journal entries, and right now it looks awful!

Also, maybe consider a web-based entry system? While I'm at my desk at work, it's odd to pull out my iPhone and type in an entry.

I fondled one the other day and made the same decision I did with the last one—I'm waiting for a better display. Just can't go back to actually seeing pixels after my iPhone 4 retina incredibleness. (Look! I just made up a word, too!)

I have not even seen one yet. My parents got theirs that they ordered online today though. Mine should be arriving sometime in early to mid April. I hate waiting, but I was also not willing to stay up all night and try to order one at 3am.

My boss ordered one. It arrived yesterday and I was able to hold it briefly. Sadly, I couldn't fondle it as he was right there and that would have been awkward, but yeah...a-may-zing.

Oh, and I like the Day One logo look. I would go straight to cute, but I don't want to offend anyone by saying that. But in my book, cute is the supreme compliment.
